Oakley: Hi! I am a 10 year old, 100 pound, golden lab mix. I was found living under a bus over a year ago-- but my foster parents suspect I lived with a family for most of my life because I am house trained. I quickly became acclimated to my foster parents apartment, and my favorite activity is to snuggle with my foster mama. I love to sniff everything outside. I behave well on and off the leash, and I don't like to venture far without my foster parents there with me. I spend a great deal of time sleeping and keeping watch over the apartment when my parents are at work. I've never had an accident inside and I know how to signal that it's time for a potty break! I do not like to share spaces or be greeted by other dogs, but if I see them on a walk I am always polite. I'm just an old soul in need of a family to watch over and love! Adoption fee: $250. And when the time comes that I must leave, I know you will cry and your heart, it will grieve. And when I arrive at the Bridge, all brand new, My thoughts and my heart will still be with you. And I will brag to all who will hear, Of the person who made my last days so dear. Adoption fees for all dogs/puppies include a $50 refundable training deposit. Complete your basic training program and provide a copy of the certificate within 4 months (120 days) of adoption and we will refund $50 of the original adoption fee. All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. At this time it is necessary to send a request for an application. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including contact with your veterinarian and completion of a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application.
